Religion

Great Falls in Maryland at sunrise with mist arising from the waters on August 30, 2011.  To me, this photo symbolizes the appearance of the universe from chaos.

The term “religion” is used here in the broad sense that it may cover such traditional fields of religion, philosophy, and science.  In one way or another, all these fields deal with the six basic human questions mentioned in the Home page .  As long as they deal with the same questions, they cannot be separated in any strict sense.

On this webpage, I intend to write an article discussing the main theme of this website.  This article is still in the making.

On August 26, 2014, I presented a talk on “Building a Philosophy of Life” at the Taiwanese American Senior Society (see the webpage “Senior Society”).  This talk covered the main theme of this website.  For me, building a philosophy of life is equivalent to building a religion or a philosophy.

The following PowerPoint Presentation was used in my talk.  Since it is a long PDF file, it may take some time to load.

On May 16, 2017, I presented another talk “Cultivating a Philosophy of Life with Truth, Goodness and Beauty” at the Taiwanese American Senior Society.  This is an elaboration of the main themes of this website, with the focus on the ideals of truth, goodness and beauty.

The following PowerPoint Presentation was used in my talk.  Since it is a long PDF file, it may take some time to load.

On May 22, 2018, I gave a talk at the Taiwanese American Senior Society on “From Religion and Philosophy to Life Enrichment.”  It represents the latest incarnation of my thought about religion and philosophy.

The following PowerPoint Presentation was used in my talk.  Since it is a long PDF file, it may take some time to load.
